It depends on the extent of the damage. Small cracks and surface spalling can often be repaired. But if your concrete is heavily cracked, heaving, or crumbling at the edges, a full replacement is usually the better long-term investment. We'll give you our professional opinion.

Freeze-thaw cycles are the main culprit. Water seeps into small pores in the concrete, freezes, expands, and breaks the surface from the inside out. Poor drainage, tree roots, and age can make it worse. Properly poured concrete with the right mix and thickness holds up significantly better over time.

Most residential projects like a driveway, a set of steps, or a walkway can be completed in one to two days. Keep in mind that concrete needs time to cure before it can be walked or driven on, typically 24–48 hours for foot traffic and up to a week for vehicles.

Poured correctly, concrete can last 30 years or more. The key is proper site prep, the right mix, adequate thickness, and good drainage. We don't cut corners on any of those.
